UNESCO in its General Conference has adopted the convention for “Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage” on considering its invaluable role in bringing human beings closer and ensuring exchange and understanding among them. Parallel to its aim, Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan with its mission to establish world-peace formulated- ‘Peace Through Heritage Program’. To actualize the effort, Divya Jyoti Ved Mandir was established by His Holiness Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji. Ms Minja Yang, Director and UNESCO Representative greeted the occasion of its official inauguration as the honorable Chief Guest. The association is presently on its way to preserve, promote and transmit the knowledge and practices of Vedas. |

Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan, under its Campaign Against Drugs- ‘BODH’ (the realization), has partnered with United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) for the Project G86 titled- “Empowering Communities for Prevention of Drugs & HIV in India”. Under this collaborative initiative, DJJS with UNODC is organizing training workshops to educate volunteers, dedicated to carry the drug de-addiction drive. |

Since 1996, Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan is engaged in various reformation and rehabilitation activities in Central Prison, Tihar. The jail authorities, prison administration and staff are all full of admiration for our peerless project- ‘Antarkranti’, bringing discernible changes even in their problem captives. With their extended cooperation, DJJS is also relentlessly working in many other states of the country. |

To preserve and propagate Sanskrit, the Govt. of India, in pursuance of the recommendations of the Sanskrit Commission (1956-57) constituted a Central Sanskrit Board, which recommended the establishment of a Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan. Divya Jyoti Ved Mandir as a nodal body facilitates Sanskrit learning classes at its various centers through Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan. |

Under the Bhagidari scheme of Govt. of NCT Delhi, we conduct various Health Awareness Program – “Aarogya”s. Divya Jyoti Gramin Swasthaya Abhiyaan was one such event organized by Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan, wherein 66 villages of Delhi were provided with the best possible treatment for different diseases, free of cost. DJJS is also hand–in hand with the Pulse Polio Abhiyaan of Delhi Govt. |

Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan, under its ‘social reforms’ section, has taken up ‘“Water and Life” programme in Pithoragarh District and Uttaranchal with the Department of Science & Technology. The basic thought behind the project is the overall or integrated development of the village, providing the target group with better water resources, education facilities, transportation facilities, employment opportunities etc. and to build up the capacities of the community so as to manage local environment in sustainable manner- by imparting scientific orientation to the locals. |
