Sri Krishna Janmashtami

Sri Krishna Janmashtami is a festival celebrating the birth of Lord Shri Krishna. His birth marked a deathblow to the reign of ignorance, and the birth of a new age, characterized by Truth and Righteousness. The auspicious moments of Lord Krishna’s advent on Earth were on the second fortnight of Krishna Paksh (Lunar fortnight), in the month of Sravana. Since then, this day is celebrated as Shri Krishna Janmashtami all over India.

Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan celebrates this occasion every year on a grand scale. The celebration is unique in itself, not exhibiting the customary features like cradles, cribs and tableaux depicting various scenes from Lord Krishna’s life but something extraordinary and unexcelled that attracts people in huge proportions. This affinity owes to two factors – fabulous dance performances based on divine sports of Lord Krishna by the young and dynamic disciples of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji.

Secondly, the preachers of the Sansthan unfold the deep spiritual meanings hidden in these divine sports through highly insightful discourses.
